About Me
Victory Gala is my chance to lace up the gloves again, step back into the ring, and feel that rush that only competition brings. It’s not just about addressing my mid-life crisis — it’s about doing something meaningful while I’m at it.
I know I won’t get chances like this forever, so being able to celebrate the sport I love and raise money for an important and meaningful cause makes this a no-brainer. Sport has made an oversized impact on my life that has extended far beyond the ring or field of play. Leveraging sport to help others access mentorship, break down barriers and pursue careers is a fitting and meaningful reason to return to the ring.
Why
Who inspires you everyday?
I’m inspired by my children every single day. Their love for sport and play is such a great reminder of how simple and pure it all starts. In turn, watching their commitment and daily growth is a reminder of the true value of sport.
You don’t “play” boxing, but that doesn’t mean you don’t fall in love with the process — the hard work, the challenges, the fear, the thrill of success. Boxing is a great metaphor for life, and I am excited to share this with my children. Sport, challenge and growth should be embraced as lifelong pursuits.
