My “why” for fighting in this year’s Victory Gala is personal. The Pinball Foundation’s mission to empower equity-deserving youth by breaking down barriers to education, mentorship, and career opportunities hits close to home. I was once that young person, unsure of my future, searching for opportunity and direction.

Now years later, I work long, demanding hours as a tower crane operator, but I train in boxing because I believe growth comes from choosing hard things and living outside of your comfort zone. Stepping into the ring for this event isn’t just about the fight, it’s about standing for resilience, discipline, and purpose.

I’m doing this to give back, and to show my children that no matter how busy life gets, you can push your limits, fight for something meaningful, and help open doors for others.
